Ford wanted to educate auto show audiences about the F-150 Lightning’s Frunk through a fun, interactive experience that made the feature easy to understand and memorable to explore. Inspired by puzzle games like Tetris and Kanoodle, the activation transformed product education into gameplay.

Ford wanted to educate auto show audiences about the F-150 Lightning’s Frunk through a fun, interactive experience that made the feature easy to understand and memorable to explore. Inspired by puzzle games like Tetris and Kanoodle, the activation transformed product education into gameplay.
Role & Solution
I developed the original concept and worked with my team to bring the experience to life as a custom bilingual touchscreen game. Players selected from three themed challenges — Racing, Camping, and Gardening/DIY — and raced against the clock to fit items into the digital frunk space.
Experience
Guests interacted with an animated attract screen before choosing a language and gameplay theme. Using drag-and-drop puzzle mechanics, players packed uniquely shaped items into the frunk, with real-time visual feedback guiding successful placement. Completing the puzzle unlocked animations showcasing additional Frunk features, including its easy-clean drain functionality.
Results
The activation turned an unfamiliar EV feature into an engaging, hands-on experience that increased dwell time, encouraged repeat play, and helped audiences better understand the practicality and versatility of the Ford F-150 Lightning Frunk.
